Congratulations to our Early Childhood Care & Development Education (ECDE) 2023 graduates. Thursday, 30th of November 2023 marked an exciting journey for the children that attended Mankayane Town Centre ECDE as they transcended to their infant academic level.
The Board conducted an exciting graduation ceremony at Mankayane Evangelical Church, where the pupils were presented with certificates after completing their ECDE. The graduates tallied to 28 children, comprising of 13 boys and 15 girls.
Investing in the early childhood program will help the pupils realize their full potential and further prepare them for the upper levels to follow. Make Tsela when speaking on behalf of the parents thanked the Board for providing such a fruitful project to help groom and care for the children. She further pleaded with the Board not to tire but keep the program active to even benefit the next generations to come.
This program as presented by the Community Health Projects and Social Services Coordinator Make Mamba was formed shortly after the Board introduced daily meals for adolescents in town. In the event that the children would be gathered in the Social Centre the entire day, the Board sought an opportunity to help nurture them academically, an initiative that helps children develop social skills. Furthermore, ECDE helps children learn valuable interpersonal skills such as listening, sharing and expressing emotions.
