Mankayane Councillors
The local communities of Mankayane elect Councillors to represent their community interests as the bridge between the communities and the Town Board. Councillors in local modern government develop the vision for the local areas working collaboratively to improve service delivery. Other responsibilities of the Councillors include policy development as well as the general planning and regulations of the town.
Mankayane Town Board has a total of 5 Councillors, 4 of these are elected by the Residents and Ratepayers of Mankayane and 1 Councillor is appointed by the Minister of Housing & Urban Development.
